Our Coaches Will Treat You Like a Pro

Lowell Ladd

Coach Ladd has been a full-time online coach since April of 2001. He has worked with hundreds of athletes all over the world of varying ability levels as an online coach, including multiple All-Americans and one NCAA national champion.

"My philosophy of coaching and running is three-fold: First, and foremost, people need to enjoy running. Second, I want to make sure that people stay healthy. Finally, I want to see people make progress."

Brian Falk

Coach Falk is in his 20th year of guiding distance runners at various levels. A nine-year collegiate coach, he has led eight runners to the NCAA championships, six of whom earned All-American honors.

"I believe athletes fulfill their potential not only because of a coach's technical knowledge, but also because of the quality of the interaction between coach and athlete. That is why I believe in fostering the healthiest possible rapport with my athletes.”

Amy Falk

Amy has served as Assistant Track and Field Coach at the Milton Hershey School since 2000. She also worked on a running clinic for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, writing workouts and planning stretching and strength training programs for runners of all ages and ability levels.

"I’m a mom, and I know how hard it can be to take time for your self! Running gives me the stamina to keep up with my daughter and I would like to help other moms experience the benefits of this lifestyle- without feeling that they’ve lost the balance they need to be good parents."

John Hartpence

Coach Hartpence has been coaching runners and triathletes for over a decade at the scholastic, college, and post-collegiate levels. As head coach at the college level, his teams have won eight conference championships.

"I believe in creating positive experiences and opportunities through training and competition. Athletics is a great way to personally challenge your self and test your limits and abilities. But is also provides opportunities to make new friends."

Aaron Ladd

Aaron has extensive coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate level. He currently serves as Assistant Coach for the Women's Track program at the University of Iowa.

"As a coach I believe it is my responsibility to provide three important elements to any individual hoping to improve as a runner. First, to provide an organized training plan that incorporates individual improvement. Second, to effectively communicate objectives and goals. Finally, to provide energy and motivation."

Gina Lucrezi

Gina has served as an assistant cross country and track coach at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. She has a strong background in statistical analysis, creating workout plans, and providing motivation to athletes.

"There are many aspects that must fall into place to achieve one's goals, including: smart training, nutrition, weight training, competing, and motivation. It is super important to have great communication between the coach and athlete. Overall, this whole process should be fun. When you enjoy what you are doing, you do it much better!"

Joel Hoffsmith

Coach Hoffsmith has been coaching for four decades with extensive experience at the high school and collegiate levels. Joel has guided 45 NCAA qualifiers, and 24 All-Americans.

"My job as coach is to set up a training schedule suited to each individuals needs. I want to be a guide and mentor for each athlete, encouraging them to reach their goals, while enhancing the enjoyment of our sport."

– Kathy Wickersham, Texas

"As a 40+ year old recreational runner, I no longer worry whether I'm running too little, too much, too fast or too slow. I know I'm getting the right mix of speed work, hill climbs, and long runs; along with the right amount of rest and recovery. Lowell is great partner for charting the way!"
– Chip Keyes, Idaho

"Lowell has coached me through two marathons now, and each time, he has helped me set a new PR. He provided me with a program that was focused and realistic, highly personalized to my abilities and to the specific challenges of the hilly course I faced."
