What is Active Trainer? Active Trainer is a web-based tool that gives athletes of all skill level portable access to professional training information. Our easy-to-use tools allow athletes to plan their training, log workouts, analyze results. Active Trainer ensures that the next time to step to the starting line, you'll know you're ready to peak!
How much does Active Trainer cost? Training plans start as low as $9.99. Better yet, using the Active Trainer log is 100% Free. Use Active Trainer to keep a diary of your workouts at no cost.
Can I have more than one training program in my calendar at one time? Yes. You may load as much content in your calendar as you wish. However, Active Trainer encourages athletes not to over-train.

When I buy a training plan, how is it delivered? Plans are automatically inserted into your Active Trainer online calendar, giving you 24/7 access to your training information. Every time you want to access your calendar, simply login at www.activetrainer.com. Your calendar is completely unique to your account. As an added convenience, you may select to also have all workouts delivered daily via e-mail.
What happens to all my stored training data? All training data in your calendar, including reports, are linked to your user account. Even if you don’t use your account, the data will be stored safely. Simply log in anytime to access your historical training data. This is one of the big advantages of a web-based training tool. You can access your data anytime, any where.
Is there a limit to how much data I can store? There is no limit to how much data you store in your training account.
What type of reports can I see about my performance? Active Trainer offers detailed reports that allow you to analyze workout hours, distance, daily vitals and much more. Furthermore, you can filter reports to extract exactly the data you are looking for. For example, our reports allow you to view a daily or monthly summary of total training hours logged versus hours planned. Or, track your training mix by analyzing what percent of training hours you log on your bike versus running.
Can I access my workouts without logging onto the Web site? Yes! You may choose to have all workouts delivered daily via email. Every night, we will send you your workout for the following day.
Can I share the plan with a training partner? Your Active Trainer account is a personal training log designed to help to achieve your athletic goals. While we encourage everyone to workout with a partner or group, you cannot track multiple athletes with one account. However, it is easy for all your friends to sign up and synchronize your training calendars.
Can I customize the training plan to fit my needs? The Active Trainer online training log allows you to completely customize your training program, including adding new workouts, moving workouts around, editing workout details or deleting workouts from your schedule. This flexibility allows you to develop a training plan that fits your busy lifestyle.
Are there different training plans for different abilities? Our featured coaches have developed proprietary training plans for athletes of all experience levels. Whether you're training for your first marathon or trying to qualify for Boston (or both!), we have the right plan for you. Can I preview the training plan before I purchase it? We want you to know exactly what you're getting into before purchasing any training plan. There are a lot of questions to ask: What is the target athlete profile for this plan? How many training hours per week am I committing to? What is the author's coaching methodology? We give you detailed information about both the plan and the author prior to purchase. You may also preview a two-week snapshot of each training plan on Active Trainer.
What makes Active Trainer different from other online training programs or training books? Two main features differentiate Active Trainer from other virtual training programs on the market. First, Active Trainer's dynamic design makes it flexible enough to accurately measure a broad variety of workouts, from strength training to endurance runs. Second, the emphasis of Active Trainer is on ease-of-use. All tools on Active Trainer were designed with the athlete in mind. Coaching books are great for giving athletes detailed insight on training. However, books are not interactive. Does the training program link up to my heart rate monitor? Active Trainer PLUS allows you to upload HRM files from Polar devices (.hrm files). After uploading the HRM file, you may analyze the data using our graphic interface, charting data such as heart race, pace and power.
